My name is Shailesh Jhugroo
I am a seasoned technology expert and a life observer! Having spent the past 25 years living and working in the United States and Europe at major institutions like Intelsat, The World Economic Forum( Davos),FINRA, and lately the US Department of Justice, I have witnessed the significant impact of global issues such as pandemics, wars, climate change, and the threat of artificial intelligence to our workforce. This is indeed a challenging time for us all.
When it comes to Mauritius, I have observed that it is becoming increasingly competitive and costly to do business there. However, I believe that by pooling our resources together, we can address these challenges and create a brighter future for ourselves and the generations to come.
That is why I am proud to introduce The Conscious Island Project.

My ultimate goal is to raise human consciousness by demonstrating that it is possible to thrive and prosper through acts of kindness towards our planet, people, and all living species. The project focuses on engaging in environmental, social, and governance activities that will have a positive impact on our community while generating impressive returns for our investors.
I am not alone in this mission. Around the world, billions of dollars are invested in environmental, social, and governance projects. Mauritius is an ideal location to implement such projects, given its status as a paradise on earth. Our government is already working on a framework to define what constitutes an ESG project to ensure transparency and protect investors against fraudulent activities.
My objective is to generate returns of 10 to 20 percent for our investors, far exceeding what they would receive from traditional bank interest rates. By participating in activities such as organic food production, promoting healthy eating habits, and sustainable real estate development, we can create a positive social impact that will enhance our lives and those of our children and grand-children.
